First off, I came back to Warframe after seeing it featured on Steam. I went to check it out and found it had been updated like 6-7 times!
That was a nice surprise
I checked my frames, mods, gear, all that stuff, and saw ash and excalibur. -_-
Now first off, as some of you know, it took me over 140 runs to get my ash thanks to the stupid drop rates back in Update 7 (The last update I really played in), Excalibur was my starting frame and I hated him. Hated. Now of course, Excalibur's a fantastic, well balanced frame and when played well can be really awesome, but he's just not my kind of frame, the encouraged playstyle, the abilities, all of it.
Now, back in U7, I knew
about all of the other frames, how to get them, decent weapons I liked the look of etc etc. The only thing was, I couldn't get
them! The drop rates were too low for blueprints, resourses required days and days of farming to acquire in usable amounts (for me at least)
I gave up.
I know I will get guys and girls luaghing right now, saying, "Why play Warframe when you don't like farming and grinding? <proceeds to literally roll on the floor laughing>" That's because, while I don't mind
grinding, the gameplay makes up for it completely to me. I only ended up rage quiting because 140 runs to get all 3 blueprints seemed like a 'little' too much.
I thought, "Why am I raging that I can't get the blueprints for x
when I could be playing other games I enjoy?" So I quit. I kept an eye on Warframe of course to see where the game went as I absolutely loved most aspects of it, but it stayed un-played in my Steam library forever and ever, until now!
When I said it was a nice surprise, I wasn't joking, it was awesome to see Warframe with a few overhauls and a bunch of new content (not to mention the drop rates fixed)
And now I'm back!
Now I crush all the things with ma Frosty the Snowman, my favourite frame of all time (even in U7, I just couldn't get everything to build him
), have joined one of the best (if not the best) clan of any gaming community I've come across so far, and am having fun again with the game
Hope I have enlightened you all as to what's up with me and haven't destroyed your brains with this meaty post.
p.s. The username! I don't know really, DOC = Doctor, because MEDIC!, ac = assassin's creed, one of my favourite game series in the history of forever and 42 because... it's my lucky number! (I was about 6-7 when I made it
