This is a discussion thread for everything related to the different Syndicates.

Feel free to express your opinion, and partake in disscussions, as well as ask for help or help the other playes with their questions.

I am not completly sure this thread will live for long, and/or it it turns out useless and waste of time, then so it will.

Latest information about the different syndicates, directly copied from the Official Warframe Website:
(added: October 24)

We’ve all grown familiar with the Grineer and Corpus as major character-driven factions within Warframe. Established groups that have motivations and goals, sometimes with leaders that argue amongst themselves how best to achieve them. But there are more forces at play than the struggle for dominance between the Grineer Queens and merchant collective. Syndicates operate with their own agenda.

Joining a Syndicate requires a sacrifice that will test your dedication to their cause, with additional sacrifices required to advance through a Syndicate’s rank. What will be asked of you will change depending on the preferences of your chosen Syndicate’s leaders; but the rewards of showing such loyalty are of immense value to any Tenno.

Each Syndicate has their own agenda rooted in the tenets they hold close. Sometimes those values may fall into alignment with another, but often times Syndicates will find themselves at odds with an opposing Syndicate. Such a tenuous balance of power means that Syndicates are more than welcoming of Tenno that wish to fight for their cause.

Be warned. While fighting for one Syndicate’s cause may increase your Standing with their leaders doing so will not go unnoticed. Other rival Syndicates will look upon your actions with less favor, and earning their respect in the future may be more difficult.

Steel Meridian

Allied: Red Veil

Opposed: New Loka

Enemy: The Perrin Sequence

The Grineer are not often seen as valorous individuals, but time and again members of their leadership have displayed a certain code of honor. Members of Steel Meridian set aside their former allegiances to defend those who cannot defend themselves.

Tenno who ally themselves with this Syndicate will receive unique Mods for Steel Meridian’s favoured weapons after obtaining the title of Protector.

After obtaining enough Standing to reach the title of General, Tenno can exchange Standing for Ability Mods for Steel Meridian’s favoured Warframes. Two of Steel Meridian’s favored Warframes are Rhino and Saryn.

Arbiters of Hexis

Allied: Cephalon Suda

Opposed: The Perrin Sequence

Enemy: Red Veil

The Arbiters of Hexis exemplify a burning passion to search for the truth of Tenno ability, composed with the knowledge that Tenno are far greater than even their shattered history suggests.

Tenno who ally themselves with this Syndicate will receive unique Mods for the Arbiters of Hexis’ favoured weapons after obtaining the title of Crusader.

After obtaining enough Standing to reach the title of Maxim, Tenno can exchange Standing for Ability Mods for the Arbiters of Hexis’ favoured Warframes. Two of the Arbiters’ favored Warframes are Loki and Nyx.

Cephalon Suda

Allied: Arbiters of Hexis

Opposed: Red Veil

Enemy: New Loka

With such powerful technology rooted in the past the hunt for knowledge guides every force in the Solar System. At a time where information holds so much power Cephalon Suda, a consciousness seemingly devoid of emotion, follows a curious hunger to learn all she can.

Tenno who ally themselves with this Syndicate will receive unique Mods for Cephalon Suda’s favoured weapons after obtaining the title of Wise.

After obtaining enough Standing to reach the title of Genius, Tenno can exchange Standing for Ability Mods for Cephalon Suda’s favoured Warframes. Two of Suda’s favored Warframes are Banshee and Vauban.

The Perrin Sequence

Allied: New Loka

Opposed: Arbiters of Hexis

Enemy: Steel Meridian

Following their own doctrine to achieve Profit, The Perrin Sequence have turned away from the Corpus ideology that conflict must be capitalized upon. Instead these merchants search for ways to exercise their trade without instigating violence.

Tenno who ally themselves with this Syndicate will receive unique Mods for The Perrin Sequence’s favoured weapons after obtaining the title of Senior Executive.

After obtaining enough Standing to reach the title of Partner, Tenno can exchange Standing for Ability Mods for The Perrin Sequence’s favoured Warframes. Two of The Perrin Sequence’s favored Warframes are Mag and Nekros.

Red Veil

Allied: Steel Meridian

Opposed: Cephalon Suda

Enemy: Arbiters of Hexis

Change is sudden, violent, and a necessary force to ensure the system can return to a state of balance. Red Veil see themselves as merely the instrument of this change.

Tenno who ally themselves with this Syndicate will receive unique Mods for Red Veil’s favoured weapons after obtaining the title of Revered.

After obtaining enough Standing to reach the title of Exalted, Tenno can exchange Standing for Ability Mods for Red Veil’s favoured Warframes. Two of Red Veil’s favored Warframes are Ash and Volt.

New Loka

Allied: The Perrin Sequence

Opposed: Steel Meridian

Enemy: Cephalon Suda

No matter how far we reach into the stars New Loka knows it is Earth that has always been our home. Turning away from genetic tampering that has twisted the Grineer and the technological meddling that has corrupted Earth it is New Loka that fights for the repopulation of a world once abandoned.

Tenno who ally themselves with this Syndicate will receive unique Mods for New Loka’s favoured weapons after obtaining the title of Pure.

After obtaining enough Standing to reach the title of Flawless, Tenno can exchange Standing for Ability Mods for New Loka’s favoured Warframes. Two of New Loka’s favored Warframes are Hydroid and Zephyr.

I'm probably going to do the most Corpus thing ever and join whichever group gives me the most profit.
Sargas Ruk would hate me.

Because I am interested in lore, the Cephalon Suda initially sounds the best. Arbiters of Hexis pull the Tenno in a completely different direction which is very interesting, along with being the enemy of the Red Veil. But then there's this:

https://www.youtube.com/w ... atch?v=6RgD4Fchnis

Most of them look so awesome ('xcept the Perrin Sequence, meh), I just have no idea which one to choose!

Red Veil- Kill stuff
Steel Meridian- Former Grineer, protector of grineer settlements
Cephaon Suda- Aquire Knowledge,Loathe violence
New Loka- Humans are master race
Arbiters of Hexis- Tenno are more than warriors
The perrin Sequence- Former Corpus... idk

Personally my top three are- Cephalon Suda, Arbiters of Hexis, and the Red Veil

Giraffes. That is all.

Thanks for the link Lonah!

...

@Dofo:
This is how I understand it.

Steel Meridian - A grineer, who left the grineer, now fights against the grineer...
Arbiters of Hexis - Want to do more than fighting all day, perhaps become a cook, or gardener.
Cephalon suda -  AI who wants to know everything, even what's in your panties. He would kill everyone who stands in his way.
The Perron Sequence - Why fight if you have moneeeeey! If everyone has money than there will be peace in this universe, right?
Red Veil - Kill everything that does not think the same way. You don't like cookies?! DIE!
New Loka - Want to live on earth again, and be 'pure' human again. (nazis...?)

...

The reasons I go for Steel Meridian are many, one of them being that I am a ninja-fanboy and have great interest in guerilla warfare.
According to my research the shinobi(ninjas) of the Edo period were also often hired to partake in guerilla warfare.
So this like my dream :x
A second choice I would go for is Red Veil. I agree with their mentality that there is tons of corruption around, but I am more a defencive person unless I am forced to go to the offence, so this is only a secondary choice.

Ofcurse I will also take a look at the specific rewards, and if too many people pick the same thing(don't want to be in the majority either). and I wouyldn't mind becomming a ninja-cook either.

Ok, none of this is premature?

Is there an advantage to the whole clan allying itself to one faction to keep mission running streamlined?

The main difference as far as I know are the different rewards you earn.

I don't believe that it is premature, we have enough information on the subject in order to discuss and express our opinions, don't we?

That is a good question....

@Slime
There's a spoiler button in the main thead, click on it and see for yourself.
it't basically reputation point that we gain to buy something from that faction (like alot of MMORPG)

@Sic Express opinions etc great, but we have no information so it's still pin the tail on the donkey. There could be a faction that offered 6000% Shield and 500% Damage versus a faction that offers 5% extra credits per mission. Til we know that isn't it all smoke?

As the mods appear to be tradable (but doesn't mention repeatable) then working separately may be the key to swapping the new mods within the clan effectively without running into trade channel hussles.

From a lore aspect it's great for the roleplayers. Personally, just give me something new to shoot rather than overelaborate backstories

I've looked at all these Syndicates, and feel I really can't decide on anyone of them till I really know what they have to offer as rewards for what they require you to do, other then that they all seem interesting to me.

Latest information about the different syndicates has been added!

---------------------------

I just got hit by the hype train.

Two of my favorite warframes, Ash and Volt, are the favorite warframes of the Red Vail! Those bastards!
Well I most likely will be joining the Red Vail now. But still, I want to see what mods they offer for weapons, and compare it to the other factions.

Better descriptions have been added, changing my opinion about some factions completely.

It seems that some factions, New Loka for example, are most favourable for those few who have obtained 'rare' warframes, such as Hydroid and Zephyr for named faction. Thus adding some sort of status among the individual players depending on what faction they join.
I can personally see, New Loka and Cephalon Suda becomming the highest 'rated' factions due to their favoured warframes which are harder to obtain than for all the other factions.

The update is comming in 9 hours... I seriusly can not wait!

Side note, some warframes are not favourable to any faction, such as Ember. I would guess something related to it is going to be added in the future.
